So dope…

Countless brands and businesses are stepping up to denounce racism and affirm their support for black people in the current climate, but if there had to a winner for who’s had the best response, Ben & Jerrys might be taking that bad boy out.

The ice-cream juggernaut posted a lengthy blog post titled “Silence is Not an Option” this week which detailed a four-step plan towards anti-racism action in the United States, as well as reaffirming it’s dedication to speaking out against the poor treatment of black people in America.

“The murder of George Floyd was the result of inhumane police brutality that is perpetuated by a culture of white supremacy,” the post read: “What happened to George Floyd was not the result of a bad apple; it was the predictable consequence of a racist and prejudiced system and culture that has treated Black bodies as the enemy from the beginning.”

The post also features a graphic which reads “Dismantle White Supremacy” up top, and it goes into immense detail into the current bills and actions they’re currently supporting.

This isn’t the first time Ben & Jerrys have spoken up regarding political issues however, with the company stating it’s support of Black Lives Matter in 2016 as well posting various articles regarding a deep-dive into the effects of systemic racism, supporting reparations for black people, and supporting front end criminal justice reform. Their latest post is essentially more of the same dope energy coming from an amazing place.
