Michael Keaton is making the rounds on the promo circuit right now for his new film The Trial of the Chicago 7, and has hit Jimmy Kimmel Live for a cheeky little interview. After starting the interview talking about his living arrangements and freezing over Zoom (glad to hear it happens to celebs as well, not just us), the pair got into the nitty gritty. Specifically, Batman.

To break it down for you, there have been varying reports this year about Michael Keaton returning as the Dark Knight for the upcoming The Flash movie, and knowing the comic book obsessive Kimmel is, he went right for the rumours with nothing held back.

“I can’t confirm anything,” Keaton said. “We’re having discussions, as they say. We’re talking about it. We’ll see if it happens.” Well, it’s not exactly a yes, but it’s definitely not a no. Sensing Keaton couldn’t give him anything concrete, Kimmel pivoted, asking a question of equal importance.

“Who is the best Batman?”, Kimmel asks around 5:20 mark. Michael Keaton, being the straight up legend he is, didn’t even blink, instantly replying “Me”. We definitely respect that confidence, especially when you’re going up against killers like Christian Bale (personal favourite), Ben Affleck and George Clooney (actually George Clooney probably doesn’t deserve in the “killers” category).
