Brace yourselves…

The increasing COVID cluster (currently at 17 new cases) in the Northern Beaches is definitely sending shockwaves through Sydney, the city put on high alert as we brace for a nail biting couple of weeks. Naturally, panic is in the air as thousands scramble to get tested and isolate, and of course, a familiar shortage from the first wave is on the comeback.

Footage and pictures shared from Northern Beaches residents show toilet paper getting increasingly scarce at local supermarkets, with Newport and Avalon Coles/ Woolies reportedly already out of toilet paper.

Pretty wild, the whole of the beaches is definitely doing it tough right now, especially with countless residents toughing it out in the heat at various testing facilities. Some have even had to wait as long as five hours just to get their swab.

NSW Health has released a list of areas and venues visited by those infected, urging anyone went there recently to isolate for 14 days even if they test negative for the virus, adding that “Everyone living on the northern beaches area should monitor for even the mildest of symptoms and come forward for testing immediately if they appear, then isolate until a negative result is received.”
