Looks tasty AF…

Although it’s been an absolute shit storm of a year (and a shitty last couple of weeks), Woolworths is coming through to help cap off the first year of the decade with some happy news, prepping for Easter with their all-new range of hot cross buns.

Arriving in stores yesterday, shoppers will now be able to choose from the Indulgent Apple and Cinnamon and Indulgent Mocha with Cadbury Old Gold Dark Chocolate Chips. The new flavours are both available at $3.50 each and are being launched with a ‘Free From gluten’ range, along with brioche buns and a hot cross bun loaf.

The Apple & Cinnamon buns actually have a pretty cool story behind them, with the Aussie Pink Lady farmer in Victoria supplying the apples used to in the recipes for them, which have been known to be ‘extra delicious and sweet’ due to the southern climate in which they are grown.

Speaking on the end-of-year-move. Woolworths Director of Buying Paul Harker said “After a tough year, the introduction of our new hot cross bun range is perfectly timed to help customers ring in the New Year, and starts the countdown to 2021 Easter celebrations.

“We’ve created a range that meets the varied tastes of our customers. Combining the best ingredients, including locally sourced Pink Lady apples and the nostalgic flavour of much-loved Cadbury’s Old Gold, our hot cross buns are also bringing something new to the table.”

Pretty sick, you can check out the new range on the Woolies website here.
