In a move that’s equal parts genius and dangerous (dangerous for our bank accounts and livers), Pizza Hut has announced a new item that’s perfect for your next gatho or late night hang with your mates, taking the middle man out and delivering beer with their pizzas.
Now, Aussies will be able to cop either a six pack of VBs, Great Northern and Corona for $19.95. Queenslanders however will have the additional option of XXXX, while Victorian’s will be able to cop Furphys.
Speaking on the move, Pizza Hut’s Chief Marketing Officer said “Beer culture has become complicated with so much choice and as the research shows, people are feeling judged if they don’t make the right one.We wanted to make the choice simple for Aussies – hot pizza with the ice cold beer you know and love. After all, we just want to make it easier for more Australians to share good times.
“We’re no strangers to controversy – the debate about whether pineapple belongs on pizza has been raging for years and yet Hawaiian is one of our top selling pizzas. We don’t judge Aussies for their diverse tastes, we just make delicious pizza, wings and pasta for all to enjoy. Now, we’re offering popular, well priced beer to go with the menu, making it easier for Aussies to get what they want.”
Pretty insane, especially considering their prices seem to be way cheaper than other delivery services, and helps Aussies hit two birds with one stone as they won’t have to do that last minute BWS run before a pizza night.
Queenslanders and Victorians will be the first to trial the new service before it gets rolled out nationally. You can find out more info from the Pizza Hut website here.
