Holidays will never be the same…

In some amazing news that Elon Musk is definitely giddy at, the Gateway Foundation has announced that it intends to open the world’s first space hotel, and it’s set to open in 2027.

Dubbed the ‘Voyager Station,’ the hotel will be 50,000-square-metres with rooms for up to 440 people. And don’t worry about that whole gravity business, as the design of the station will give it approximately one sixth of Earth’s gravitational pull.

The station is gonna have a hell of a range of ammenities too, with restaurants, bars (a triple-tier bar no less), gyms, crew accommodation and scientific research pods all included in the station’s 24 habituation modules, along with some luxury villas that no doubt will have the best views in the house.

But that’s just the beginning, with the activity and gym module set to be fitted with seven-metre-high ceilings to be used for low-gravity games. But wait for it, as it’ll double as a concert venue as night, where “the biggest musicians on Earth will rock the station as it circles the planet” as according to The Gateway Foundation.

Check out some renderings of what the Voyager Station is set to look like below and start booking that time off!
