A head-to-toe drop.

Only two weeks into 2022 and DC are already coming through…

And they’re linking up with seasoned skater Anwar Carrots to do it, with the two joining forces for a skate-focussed new collection, the aptly titled DC X Carrots.

The collab sees classic DC silhouette the Lynx OG reconstructed with a reflective orange upper, while also featuring two custom colourways of the newly released Manteca 4. Skate and streetwear OGs will be well aware of the place Manteca had in the skate world in the early 2000s, and now DC are resurrecting it in 2022 with modern tech and a slightly slimmer silhouette – two aspects that underpin the totality of the DC X Carrots collection.

To top it off, the collab also includes a premium apparel pack made up of two hats, two heavyweight 250-gram tees, and a full 450-gram fleece set (you will literally never get cold while rocking these babies). And of course, the entire drop is co-branded with custom DC logos designed by Anwar himself. It’s a joint effort in every sense of the phrase with both Carrots and DCs distinct styles melding effortlessly.

“Working with Anwar has been a creative highlight for DC,” DC’s Head of Marketing Michael Minter explained “His ability to be bold and fun while paying close attention to quality and detail made for a compelling collaboration. This was definitely the perfect partnership for us to bring back the Manteca and we are really excited to see this all come to life.”

Anwar Carrots himself added “I’m just honestly grateful to be accepted by the skate community by way of friends in that World! Thank you to DC shoes for the love and for embracing and trusting my vision.”

“Shout out my boy Ish doing his thing; it’s beautiful seeing someone of my descent and background crushing boundaries in fields outside of what is the norm for humans of my complexion.”

Definitely one of our favourite drops of the year so far. Peep some more pieces from the DC X Carrots collection below and be sure to cop it via DC’s official website here.
