Over the past year or so we’ve seen Bored Apes plastered onto just about everything. From apparel through to beer, through to restaurants and cars, the now-iconic NFT project has slowly transitioned from digital oddity to real-life marketing tool. Now, they’re coming after your choccies, with Bored and Mutant Ape M&Ms.
The new foray comes via a partnership between Mars and Universal Music Group, wherein the candy giant is set to create a limited batch of Bored Ape M&Ms based on Kingship. For those unfamiliar with Kingship, it’s a virtual band comprised of Bored Apes and one Mutant Ape that performs their own original music at concerts in the metaverse.

It’s definitely a good example of just how utility works in the NFT space and how owners of these virtual primates are well and truly tangling the BAYC phenomenon into the popular mainstream. Undoubtedly we’ll be seeing plenty more instances of NFT owners making the most of their artworks. Check out the M&Ms below, along with a virtual performance of ‘Rider’ from Kingship above.
