Lil Nas X, the master of musical trolling and expert in ruffling the feathers of boomer conservatives, may have finally met his match on the upcoming season of The Eric Andre Show. Known for his cooked pranks and absurdist comedy, to say that Andre takes pleasure in subjecting his guests to borderline torturous trolling is somewhat of an understatement. And it seems Lil Nas X, who has always managed to stay cool under fire (or when half naked in front of millions of people around the world), was rendered speechless for possibly the first time in his life when he appeared on the show.
In a sneak peek of the season six premiere airing on June 4th, the unsuspecting rapper takes a seat opposite Andre, only to be greeted by a menacing desk reminiscent of a scene straight out of Nightmare On Elm Street. If that wasn’t enough to catch him off guard, Andre’s new sidekick, Felipe Esparza, adds to the chaos by literally chopping through a background, channeling The Shining’s iconic “Here’s Johnny!” moment. And if that wasn’t enough, the cherry on top is that Andre’s microphone has been upgraded to include a sleeping gas spray. It’s safe to say Lil Nas X (nor any well-adjusted human being) could’ve seen this coming.
The forthcoming season of the show features its biggest lineup of guests to date, with the likes of Diplo, Jon Hamm, Lil Yachty, Rico Nasty and more set to take to the sofa, with dance veteran himself, Diplo, even copping a kick to the nuts at one point. With such an array of unsuspecting victims, it seems Andre is set to fully complete his transformation into raging sociopath (who are we kidding, he reached that stage years ago). Check out the full snippet of his interview with Lil Nas X above along with the full season six trailer below.
