Party & Bullshit
Words by Jack Bennett December 9, 2024

We hit the inner west over the weekend for beers, bands and beers (and maybe some more bands… and beers).

With a spicy lineup, the sun mostly shining, you couldn’t have asked for a better day to enjoy a few cold ones, and Newtown did not disappoint. Cementing their long-standing love of live music, the Young Henrys team curated a tidy roster of artists to to keep our earholes happy as we sipped on that golden nectar that they’ve graciously canned for us.

Over the course of the day, headliner Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys crooned us to ecstasy, Velvet Trip took us on a harmony-filled psych-pop journey and ARSE blasted us with their punkish sonics. Plus, OG red wiggle Murray Cook jumped on the decks which was an unexpected delight.
