With Taj Burrow returning from his last ever surf competition in Fiji, we headed to Watsons Bay Hotel to honour his illustrious career and remarkable legacy forged in the ocean.

Despite the gloomy weather, hordes of friends and family headed to the Eastern Suburbs establishment for the surprise party. Lips were sealed and plans were kept under wraps until Taj’s arrival in the afternoon, where all was finally revealed! It was a strong turnout from the surfing community, with stars like Mick Fanning, Matt Wilkinson, Adrian Buchan and Noa Deane in the building, as well as half of the World Surf League and our mates from Stab Magazine. Oh yeah, Chris Hemsworth was also there – huge!
