Pedro’s signature blues and pinks collide with Childe’s plant-based shades delightfully.

Fresh from his much-lauded Not My Last Rodeo series of paintings, Bondi artist Jacob Pedrana AKA Jakey Pedro has unveiled his latest venture. The emerging artist – though “emerging” barely sums up the hype surrounding him – has teamed up with music-driven, surf-punk eyewear lords Childe Co for a super exclusive range.

The four-style collection, which is limited to only ten pieces per style, sees Jakey’s dreamy pastels applied to Childe’s Cash wayfarers, Reed aviators, and the heptagonal Exit silhouette in blue marble and top deck pink/blue. Each pair also has Jakey’s signature and captures blends a carefree coastal vibe with Childe’s ready-for-anything durability in sweet harmony.

The range will be available online and at Jakey’s “Out to Lunch” show at the At The Above gallery at Level 1, 198 Gertrude Street Fitzroy, Victoria on Friday 3rd December, making it a true extension of his work. Plus, the money from 20% proceeds goes to Arts Access Australia, the national peak body that works to increase opportunities and access to the arts for people with disabilities.
