I think I was sitting on top of a bus when I took this. I was holding onto the guy in front, who was holding onto the guy in front, who probably wasn’t holding anything. Kathmandu.
My brother lives in New York. He came home for Christmas this year and we went up the coast together. The last day up there he set off a flare.
I was shooting a band press release for a group called World Champion. This was an outtake.

Photography is about placing the body of the photographer, I think, you have to be able to take the camera into a privileged or unique position. This is somewhere in the Sydney train tunnels.
