With a solid lock on his door to protect his few valuable and worldly possessions. Cameron was already making a name for himself as a filmer in the skateboard industry and would spend his days logging footage for the homies while delivering pizzas and stacking supermarket shelves through the night to keep the paper coming in. Having that sort of drive and street smarts at an early age only confirmed to me that Cameron was on his way up, fast.
A few years later the video camera was replaced with his first DSLR and from there it was all about capturing those still images. Fast forward only 3 years and hes already landed multiple cover shots on Slam skateboarding magazine here in Australia as well as gracing the pages of world class Thrasher magazine in addition to scoring a recent interview on the Transworld website.
Did i mention he is a bit weird? He still wears pyjama pants at night while editing photos. Often rocks an inconic Australian Akubra while out on the job and eats candy and pop tarts for breakfast most days. One thing is for sure though – Cameron Markin can hustle.
