Melbourne’s Mackenzie Sweetnam has captured some huge names in music with a deft precision.

Getting her start in photography as a 16-year-old shooting kids birthday parties, Mackenzie Sweetnam’s dedication to her craft has seen her swiftly rise to becoming one of Melbourne’s premiere live music and event snappers. Shooting heavyweights in the music industry like Post Malone, Rae Sremmurd, Fisher, Flight Facilities, and more, the 21-year-old has demonstrated something of a sixth sense for predicting when her subject is about to turn it on.

Mackenzie started out on on a Canon 6D before making the move to the Canon 5D Mark IV, and reckons hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd as the favourite act she’s ever shot. “ I have never shot anyone or any group that was so full of energy! Jimmy also came and posed after the set for some shots so artists like that always have a soft spot with me!”
