Having just dropped visuals fo ‘We Up’, rapper and Malyangapa, Barkindji woman, BARKAA took to the stage at the Lansdowne Hotel (which was dubbed the Land Back Hotel for the night) on Saturday with supports from YungBrother, VVPETE and 3%. A celebration of Blak excellence and expression, the crowd was body to body while rapping along to her unrelenting lyrics and revelling in the hard-hitting beats, pumped our by DJ Irena Flywaves.
BARKAA also brought up Nooky for ’22 Clan’ (originally recorded with Mackridge), as well as fellow songstress MI-KAISHA to perform their track ‘Come Back’.
