Hosting the biggest day on the snowboarding calendar, Thredbo Resort was home to the eighth annual transfer banked slalom over the weekend. Welcoming over 280 competitors to this year’s race, the snowboarding event ranged from juniors to gold medalists, with each age category taking to the Merritts-adjacent run.
Olympians Scotty James, Matty Cox and Nate Johnstone were just some of the snowboarding greats in contention in the Opens Men’s division, but of all the age brackets, it was Cronulla’s Brad George and Thredbo local Wiki Jones who topped the Masters podium, taking home the win in the Men and Women’s divisions respectively.
