We hit the slopes with Oakley team rider and Olympic snowboarder, Carlos Garcia Knight.

Having represented New Zealand at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in the big air and slopestyle disciplines, 21-year-old Carlos Garcia Knight is already being earmarked as one of the most promising future talents of the sport. It’s a lot of pressure for any young athlete to deal with, not that you’d know it from chatting to the down-to-earth shredder.

We cornered Carlos in a gondola at Cardrona, on New Zealand’s South Island, to chat about his favourite tunes to listen to while riding, how he was introduced into snowboarding, and the doors the sport has opened up for him. Don’t worry, we also got plenty of footage of him absolutely tearing up the mountain too.
