21 Jump Street’s Dave Franco is also on supporting duties in the upcoming comedy…

Coming through with possibly the most unexpected film of the year, Netflix has pulled together the likes of Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dogg and Dave Franco for an action-comedy about a bunch of dudes who kill vampires, titled Day Shift.

Steered by John Wick stunt coordinator J.J. Perry, the film centres around Foxx’s Bud Jablonski, a “hard working blue collar dad” who moonlights as a vampire hunter alongside Snoop Dogg’s Big John Elliot. Tying it altogether is Dave Franco’s Seth, a timid newcomer who literally pisses himself the first day on the job.

The three minute trailer for the epic features all the classic tropes and cheese you’d expect from a comedy of this vintage, but surprisingly, the action more than balances it out, with plenty of gunshots, explosions and gore to rival Deadpool. But alas, the comedy is top tier in this flick, with the band of unexpected heroes going so far as referencing the Twilight films at one point in the teaser (2:15 to save you time).
