If you’re like me and you haven’t yet planned what to do for the new years period (despite having a full 12 months to do so), then the folks at Watsons Bay boutique hotel have got you sorted. Presented with Sounds Like and Smirnoff Seltzer, Sounds Like New Year’s Day is set to hit the namesake bay’s sunny waterfront on January 1, with a stacked lineup of local artists to soundtrack the new year.

Touch Sensitive, Yolanda Be Cool and Waxlily front the bill, with additional DJ sets from Parachute Youth and Tori Levett. Taking over the harbourside hotel for an epic one-day beach party, the event promises a tropical beach theme, with access to a sunset room and multi-leveled decks. Elsewhere, revellers can enjoy free-flowing bevvies and enough nibbles to compensate for your then-discontinued summer glow up. 

Tickets to the event go on sale this Wednesday (November 17) at midday, and are accessible here. In the meantime, get ready to undo a year’s worth of physical preparations. It’s gonna be a big one.
