Despite still being a relatively young brand, Modern Manners have distinguished themselves from the pack with their open-minded approach to style. With one physical store in Auckland and an online store that’s barely six months old, the brand is still flourishing with their second season named ‘New Wave’.

Modern Manners pride themselves on crafting gender-neutral garments with a focus on high quality fabrics and graphics that playfully explore pop culture. This latest range takes inspiration from everything from The Simpsons to traditional Oriental art, mixing understated garments with wild, vivacious prints.  Speaking on the range, they said:

Our new season is called ‘New Wave’ and it was inspired by warmer beach times and those early morning sunrise colours. The name ‘New Wave’ originated from us moving on from the original brand ideas and progressing onwards to new heights, it’s supposed to represent our change and development from simple graphics to something more fine that hopefully both males and females can appreciate and understand on a deeper level.

It’s super encouraging to see young designers showing their talents online and IRL, especially when they’re just next door across the Tasman. Check out the Modern Manners campaign photographed by Dexter Murray, and grab the garments right here.
