Teenage Dads keep going from strength to strength…

Melbourne indie four-piece Teenage Dads have done it again with the release of their latest track, ‘Hey, Diego!’, a sun-drenched bop inspired by the Nickelodeon show Go, Diego, Go! from the early 2000s.

‘Hey, Diego!’ sizzles with the carefully curated ingredients that make Teenage Dads so addictive: crisp, Strokes-esque guitar strums; a pulsing, airtight rhythm section; and those distinctively intricate vocal melodies sung by frontman Jordan Finlay, which you know are already embedded in your consciousness before the song’s even done. ‘Hey, Diego!’ became a fan-favourite at live shows before even receiving an official release – and it’s easy to see why.

Speaking on the track, the band described: “’Diego’ is the friend that everyone needs, as a reminder that it is okay to be weird, to be different, to do things your own way. Diego is almost mythical in this song, saving us from a boring world with rules and norms and bringing us back to reality where it’s ok to be HUMAN.”

Recently nominated for Rolling Stone’s Best New Artist, the band have just announced their ‘Midnight Driving Tour’, which will see them play headline shows at Brisbane’s The Zoo, Melbourne’s Corner Hotel and Sydney’s Metro Theatre in March 2023 supported by Noah Dillon and Hallie.
