Goon is an absolute cornerstone of Aussie culture. We’ve all been strapped for cash one time or another, and that goddamn fruity lexia has been there every time, saving our asses time and time again. However, with goon comes the compromise of flavour. Specifically, it tastes like pure trash man, and don’t even try and disagree with me. But the amount of standards you get for the mere 10-15 dollars you’d pay is absolutely worth it, and thus it’s a compromise countless amounts of us continue to make.

But now, we might not have to make that compromise anymore, as Aldi has releasing a range of fucking cocktail goon sacks, spicing those casks up so hard that they might actually become a go-to drink in 2021.

The new flavours come in Pina Colada (white rum, pineapple juice and coconut), Lime Mojito (white rum, lime juice and fresh mint juice), Cosmopolitan (vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice and lim juice) and Gin & Juice (gin, elderflower, sugar syrup and lemon juice). Not gonna lie I never thought I’d be tempted to buy a goonie solely for the taste.

The goonies are available for around $20 around select Aldis around NSW, the ACT, Victoria and Western Australia. It’ll definitely be interesting to see how these are received across the nation. More info on this as it unfolds folks.
