Long live rock and roll I guess…

US rock band, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, are the talk of Melbourne following their latest performance at The Forum Theatre. And no, it has nothing to do with the quality of their performance or how late they were to the show, but rather, a certain event that took place on stage.

Clips circulating online show lead singer Anton ranting at the crowd ranting hanging his guitar up and walking off stage, but not before he mouthed off at one of his fellow band members. Unfortunately, they didnt take it as well as the crowd (to be fair, the crowd didnt take it well either), and the two started fighting on stage. The two then chased each other around the stage before they started wrestling, with the rest of the band and the crew stepping in to break it up.

Fans have been buck to share their disappointment on social media, describing the experience as a “nightmare” with constant abuse and bickering from the stage. However, it turns out this is nothing new for the band, who have a history of “tumultuous working relationships”, with their onstage fights being heavenly outlined in the Dig! doco.

No word yet on whether the band will be playing their remaining shows in the country. For now, check out full footage of the fight below.
