Celeb Chef Pete Evans is back ranting about COVID-19, publishing countless Instagram posts attacking the legitimacy of the virus and the governmental response to it. The posts come mere weeks after the My Kitchen Rules judge was banned from Facebook due to ‘spreading COVID-19 misinformation,’ and we’re guessing Instagram isn’t gonna be putting up with his posts for that long either.
Taking to IG this week, Evans shared a badge online with the words ‘COVID is the flu with a better publicist.’ He’s since shared a bunch of memes and other posts criticising the world response to the virus, his IG feed predominantly dedicated to COVID-19 debunking instead of food content now.
He also took the time attack NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and her pleas for Sydneysiders to refrain from kissing over NYE, writing “The clown show continues. This has never been about a virus and it definitely has nothing to do with your health. This is a scam and a hoax. Stupidity and corruption is the virus. #kissoff #scientism.”
We’re guessing it’s just a matter of time before the celeb chef is taken off the site, with Facebook and Instagram being run by the same parent company and thus having similar rules. Speaking on the move to ban him from Facebook, a spokesperson said “We don’t allow anyone to share misinformation about COVID-19 that could lead to imminent physical harm or COVID-19 vaccines that have been debunked by public health experts. We have clear policies against this type of content and we’ve removed Chef Pete Evans’ Facebook Page for repeated violations of these policies.”
Pretty intense, check out his controversial IG posts below.
