Exciting…

Facebook has announced that its 3D photo feature won’t require a portrait photo anymore. Old 2D photos will also be able to be turned 3D, regardless of how old they are.

According to the blog post in which they made the announcement, “the system infers the 3D structure of any image, whether it is a new shot just taken on an Android or IOS device with a standard signal camera, or a decades-old image recently uploaded to a phone or laptop”

How to Create 3D Photos

There’s a catch though, users must upload the photo with “an iPhone 7 or higher, or a recent midrange or better Android device” through the Facebook app.

Knew there was a catch, but fair enough tbh, can’t please everybody.
