If you see a post on Facebook or Insta laiming that cocaine cures Coronavirus, rest assured, its completely false and you should definitely stick to conventional medicine.
The claim appears to have originated from a now deleted Facebook Post which stated that “scientists” were “shocked” to learn that cocaine “kills Coronavirus”. The post shared on Twitter as well, complete with a breaking news headline that looks incredibly official, so it’s fair enough if people are falling for the false claim.

Thus, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health has taken to Twitter to make sure anxious citizens don’t try the illicit drug in an attempt to beat the virus.

“No, cocaine does NOT protect against COVID-19,” a Ministry official said in a tweeted statement over the weekend. “It is an addictive drug that causes serious side effects and is harmful to people’s health.”
This isn’t the only batch of false info floating around the internet about curing Coronavirus, with Christian figure Jim Bakker clamming that drinkable silver solution kills Coronavirus within 12 hours. Again, this isn’t true.
“How could they believe this?” I wondered about an audience who thinks that an imaginary bearded man lives in the sky.

There’s no apparent cure for Coronavirus as of now, so it’s defs sad to see people trying to take advantage of this in an effort to spread misinformation and drum up anxiety. Always listen to health authorities folks, they’re the ones who know what they’re talking about…
