In a costly surprise that would scare the life out of most folks, two fat af carpet pythons have smashed a hole in a Brisbane man’s ceiling, falling through the hole into the man’s home. David Tait, the unlucky retiree who was host to the snakes, found the two reptiles in his home Monday morning. The two pythons measured 2.8m and 2.5m respectively, which literally sounds like something out of a horror film.
According to snake catcher Steven Brown, it appears Mr. Tait found the two snakes while they were fighting over a third female snake, which has still not been found.
Speaking to the Today show, Mr. Tait said “We have a lot of bush around here so you do see snakes,’” Mr Tait said.
“But I’d never seen snakes of that size. I’d been away from the night and came home to find most of the dining room ceiling on the table.”
Bloody hell, it’s more than lucky that there was a snake catcher nearby, with Brown saying “I got the call saying this guy had a couple of snakes, and it wasn’t until I turned up and asked if he’d left the door open overnight. Then he said he hadn’t, and I thought … oh, okay, this will be interesting.”
Crazy stuff, check out the pair’s interview on the Today Show below.
