OpenAI, aka the creators of Chat GPT, have announced the release of their latest language model, GPT-4. The release promises to be even more powerful and advanced than its predecessor, GPT-3, which was already considered one of the most significant language-based AI tools.
According to OpenAI, GPT-4 is expected to have 10 times the parameters of GPT-3 (equalling an estimated 40 trillion parameters in total). This means that GPT-4 will be able to generate more complex and human-like text, with better accuracy and more natural-sounding responses.
Basically, you’ll be able to have more organic conversations with it and get more factual responses to your queries. GPT-4 is also said to be more creative and less prone to making up facts, apparently able to process up to 25,000 words at once (eight times more than Chat GPT-3).

Predictably, Elon Musk had some thoughts on the new release, tweeting in response to a post that claimed GPT-4 scored 93% when tasked with taking the SATs, America’s college entrance exams.
Taking to Twitter, Musk wrote: “What will be left for us humans to do? We better get a move on with Neuralink!”

Currently, access to GPT-4 is available for ChatGPT Plus subscribers, on a $20 monthly subscription. While OpenAI has not yet revealed when GPT-4 will be available to the wider public, the organization has promised to share more information in the coming months.
