Don’t shoot the messenger…

In a surprising twist of tinkle-related news, a renowned urologist has come forward to suggest that anyone who pees while standing up (AKA pretty much anyone with a dong) is pissing wrong. No, it’s not how straight our posture is or how we bend our knees that’s the problem, rather, standing in general appears to be the issue.

Now, rewnowned uroligst Gerald Collins, a urological surgeon at the Alexandra Hospital in Cheshire, England, is suggesting that we should giveth old “sit-down-and-pee” approach a shot. It seems this less common method of emptying our bladders is not only more hygienic but also better for the health of one’s bladder. To get scientific about it, sitting down  reportedly allows the muscles in the pelvis and spine to completely relax, resulting in a smoother and more complete bladder evacuation process. Other research supports the hot take, with a 2014 report from a University Centre in the Netherlands finding that sitting down could be beneficial by making it easier for the bladder to empty faster and more completely.

It’s a pretty massive surprise, especially since we’re taught since pre-school to pee while standing up. However, it seems that 25 percent of Aussie dong owners are already opting to sit down every time they visit the loo. It turns out this sitting down supremacy is especially popular in Germany, with nearly 40 percent of men there claiming to “always” embrace the seated position for bladder relief.

It’s safe to say a whole lot more asses are about to start hitting seats.
