Thats a whole lot of cheese…

Pizza Hut is the latest fast food chain (and possibly the first) to add a Guinness World Record to its last of accolades, with the renowned pizza  chain recently copping the nod for “World’s Biggest Pizza”.

Clocking in at a total of 68,000 slices, the record-setting treat contains a total of 7000 kg of dough, 2300 kg of marinara sauce, 4000 kg of cheese, and nearly 290,000 kg pepperoni. The pizza was so big it ended up having to be made in the Los Angeles Convention Center last week, which might sound over the top, but considering the fact it’s about 14,000 square feet, we’re surprised it didn’t need an even bigger arena.

Speaking on the record-setting indulgence, Pizza Hut CEO David Graves explained, It’s about 14,000 square feet. So, if you think about that, it’s going to be like 68,000 slices of pizza when we’re all done. And the great thing is none of it’s going to waste. We can actually donate it to some local food banks here in the Los Angeles community. So, we’re really excited about that.”

Definitely a nice flex for one of the biggest fast food franchises in the world. Check out the Guinness World Record’s “Biggest Pizza Ever” below.

“It’s a big team, as you can see. Look, I mean, look at the size of it. It’s a giant pizza,” Graves shared. “It’s about 14,000 square feet. So, if you think about that, it’s going to be like 68,000 slices of pizza when we’re all done. And the great thing is none of it’s going to waste. We can actually donate it to some local food banks here in the Los Angeles community. So, we’re really excited about that.”
