Floating bars are all the rage heading into summer – after all, who doesn’t like sipping on coconut cocktails while taking in 360 degree views of Sydney’s world-famous Harbour? Now, a new venue will be launching soon to give punters a new experience on the waters.

Seadeck – a bar sitting inside a 44-metre long vessel – was initially supposed to launch months ago, but after transport issues in the Middle East, it has only just arrived in Sydney Harbour. Now, organisers are preparing to launch the venue this summer, and are promising plenty that will make this a favourite in the coming months. While the novelty alone is enough to get many party-animals on board, Seadeck also boasts “the largest open foredeck on the Sydney Harbour” and “state-of-the-art audio and lighting.”

With three levels and two marble bars, table service and private booths are also available for aspiring ballers – while the decor and design is painted with European influence. Given that Brett Robertson (of Future Music Festival) is also involved with Seadeck, they’re promising some local and international dance selectors to brave the waves with Seadeck.

“Our aim is to produce events which will be globally regarded and we have lined up some of the biggest international artists and club brands in the world for our debut summer season. Whilst Saturdays will focus predominantly on international headliners, Seadeck Sundays is all about house music and showcasing some of Australia’s best homegrown talent,” Robertson said.

Take a look at some snaps of the venue below – it definitely looks like a spectacle set to impress. Prepare for this summer in Sydney to be an absolute belter:
