No doubt being a reporter is tough af, having to memorise various stretches of information and regurgitate them on air essentially perfectly time and time again. It’s hard, and the pressure must be insane. And combine that with all the craziness in Melbourne, and you’re probably gonna have an on-air blunder at some stage, but Channel Nine’s Lana Murphy brushed it off like a pro.
Murphy was giving viewers an update about how police are dealing with rule breakers in Melbourne when she accidentally stumbled over a word or two, causing her to stop completely and say “F**k my life” before readjusting her hair and getting ready for another take.
Obviously, whoever was cutting up the footage must’ve sent the wrong take into the official bulletin, making for an awkward af on-air moment. Luckily, the footage quickly cut to the news anchor back at the Channel Nine studio, and all potential awkwardness was quickly whisked away.
Murphy was quick to have a laugh at the whole incident however, writing on Twitter “Thanks for the love friends & apologies to those who got more than they bargained for on @9NewsMelb. Unfortunately the wrong version (clearly) of a pre-record made it to air but thankfully I have a great boss and I’ll be back on your screens tomorrow. 2020 though am I right?”

It’s dope that she’ll be staying on our screens. Check full footage of the incident below for a bit of a cheeky laugh.
