Interesting choice of loot…

America is definitely doing it tough right now, people taking to the streets by the thousands to protest the senseless killing of George Floyd. The resulting riots and demonstrations have truly rocked the world, with the scenes of destruction being comparable to something out of a movie.

Looting has definitely arisen as a result as well, with stores being ransacked and destroyed as the riots continue to increase in intensity. However, one looter has gone a slightly different route, opting to loot a cheesecake in the midst of the unrest in Seattle.

Footage of the woman taking the cake has gone viral as a result, with people losing their minds at the woman’s choice of loot “I’m in tears from that person walking out the looted cheesecake factory with a whole cheesecake in tow,” one person tweeted.

Reporting on the scene, it appears that even news anchors were dumbfounded, with a stunned reporter saying “unclear where they might’ve gotten that” as the camera pans to the cheesecake thief.

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan announced an emergency curfew from 5pm to 5am on Saturday and Sunday, hoping to bring the violence across the city to an end.

“I hope that we can treat each other with the kindness and compassion that we all deserve during the unprecedented and trying moment in our history. I think that we will see the message of destruction is not as strong as the message of hope, love and peace”, she tweeted.

200 members of the Washington National Guard have since been called into the city to help deescalate the unrest.
