While Melbourne was lucky enough to host UFC 193 yesterday, punters not fortunate enough to attend IRL packed out pubs across Australia – with a main event teaming up the forever-hyped Ronda Rousey with decorated boxer Holly Holm.

With Rousey’s last title fight lasting a mere 34 seconds, many expected her to continue her undefeated run in convincing fashion. However, Holm’s expert striking and considerable reach led to a bloody Rousey being floored just 59 seconds into the second round, with Holm delivering a swift kick to the head and clubbing blows before the contest was stopped. The brutal knockout was nothing short of devastating, with Rousey skipping all post-match media due to hospitalisation. Now, she’s taken to Instagram to speak out for the first time since losing the Bantamweight title:

With Rousey’s rising profile in Hollywood circles, most are expecting her to work further in film and entertainment before returning to the Octagon.
