Made with recycled materials, generate by their Sustainable Grid initiative, Nike and streetwear/sneaker company Pigalle have re-designed the highly grammable Pigalle basketball court. Following on from a similar collaboration in Beijing last year, the court contrasts vibrant colours with an inner-city urban environment and is now open to anyone who wishes to use it.
“Our court in Paris birthed a community,” Pigalle founder Stéphane Ashpoo says. “We transformed a parking lot into a place that has fostered a family and inspired people. All the subtle details that can make this magic happen were united.”
