Having already allowed creators to receive “tips” in Bitcoin via Strike’s Lightning Network, Twitter has announced that users will now be able to rake in tips in Ethereum, as well as Paga, Barter by Flutterwave, and Paytm. It marks a further step into the crypto/NFT space for the social media giant which also allowed users to connect their wallet and add hexagonal verified NFT profile pictures.
“Like Twitter, digital currencies operate without global barriers. We’re excited to incorporate Ethereum in addition to Bitcoin payment in Tips, enabling more people to participate in the digital economy with as little friction as possible,” Twitter said in a statement to Tech Crunch.
Have you set up Tips on your profile yet so it’s easy for people to show their support?

How do you add tips, you ask? Well it’s pretty simple: head to edit profile, toggle tips to “on”, and add your Ethereum address. The next part, attracting tippers, is probably gonna be a little more difficult…
