The Melbourne six piece are throwing a party in Sydney this Friday…

Despite being on the scene for almost 15 years, Melbourne party starters Northeast Party House still feel as fresh as ever. From their off the chain live shows to their hybridised blend of rock, funk and soul, the band’s strengths continue to grow in spades, and have helped them reinvent themselves with each and every release.

Most recently, they toured the nation for their Brain Freeze tour, lighting up crowds in the likes of Sydney, Brisbane, and the hometown of Melbourne. It was wild to see just how intense the love for the homegrown outfit still is after all these years, proving that no matter the passage of time, they’ve amassed a legion of fans that remain as dedicated as ever.

Now, to celebrate the upcoming summer, and their love of spreading good vibes and connection through their music, Northeast Party House have teamed up with Bacardi to bring Sydneysiders one of its legendary parties. Headlining the Bacardi Dance Floor gig, Northeast Party House will bring the party to life at Cell Block Theatre at the National Art School in Sydney on Friday 27th October. Be sure to cop tickets here!

Random Access Memories – Daft Punk

I don’t really know what to say other than you could put this on at dinner or at an epic party and it’ll fit perfectly. It’s got to be one of the most listenable records out there. They just didn’t miss.

6AM (Test Pressing) – Club Angel

Probably my favourite Australian artist at the moment. This EP just bangs.

Demon Days – Gorillaz

It’s just brilliant. You can dance to it, you can sing to it, you can rap to it. I don’t know if there is a record that’s had a bigger impact on me.

Every Great Motown Hit of Marvin Gaye – Marvin Gaye

I mean really my answer is in the albums title – maybe not cool to share a collection rather than album but it’s Every Great Motown Hit of Marvin Gaye…

Groove Armada – Goodbye Country (Hello Nightclub)

I love records that you can get lost in. Where you didn’t realise it but you’ve started dancing or been caught in a memory – This is one of those records. That and also Super Stylin’ was played at every party growing up…
