One of Newy’s most legendary pubs is back.

For those of us in attendance last night, there was a definite feeling that Merewether’s iconic Beach Hotel has returned. Maybe it was the $5 beers or $10 margaritas, but we couldn’t help get a little nostalgic, with the new owners having gone above and beyond to restore it to its former glory, while refreshing the space with a tasty new cocktail menu and delicious food.

Even with a bit of a chill in the air yesterday, the deck still can’t be beaten, offering the perfect spot to watch the surf/world go by. With $15 meals dropping all through the week and loads of upcoming events, we can guarantee we’ll be seeing a lot more of The Beaches in coming weeks.
