In a feat of pure bravery and courage, supermarket workers tackled and made a citizens arrest on an armed robber during a hold up in Melbourne.
According to police, at least three men arrived at the IGA on North Street in Hadfield at about 8:45pm yesterday. One of the men entered the IGA and threatened workers with a gun whilst demanding cash.
Workers refused and a fight ensued, one of them using a metal pole as a weapon whilst the robber fired the pistol.
Two staff pinned the robber to the ground whilst yelling at him to get his hands up, whilst another working was yelling “I don’t care, you nearly shot my f*****g head off”. They held the man until police arrived later.
It is said that three of the other robbers fled the scene.
