Another day, another hack. This time, the blow was delivered to Murdoch-owned conservative tabloid The New York Post. Taking to Twitter on Thursday, the Post alerted users to the situation, claiming they were currently investigating.
The New York Post has been hacked. We are currently investigating the cause.

But it came after many Americans had already woken up to a series of fake headlines, including an editorial column calling for the murder of Joe and Hunter Biden, as well as another article, supposedly written by Ben Shapiro, calling for the assassination of AOC.
Meanwhile, others discussed the beating up or raping of various politicians and the destroying of union teachers, with another article calling Eric Adams, the mayor of NYC, a fried chicken-eating monkey.
The Post has since blamed the attack on a rogue employee, saying they had fired the person responsible for the “vile, racist and sexist comments”.
But it wasn’t before many joked that they hadn’t noticed a difference in the New York Post‘s content, due to its reputation for ultra-conservative commentary and sensationalized headlines.
Senior front page editor of the Huffington Post, Philip Lewis, wrote: “[Not gonna lie] this looks like NYPost normally so I kept on scrolling.”

Now the NY Post has to go through the racist tweets to figure out which ones they posted & which ones came from the hackers. https://t.co/MGmzaZAoM5

With the perpetrator identified, it seems The Post has now been restored and is back to posting its usual content, much to the relief, I’m sure, of the whole world.
Although, some carrying on the joke pointed out that the publication still appeared to be hacked. At least, Kardashian content is a lot less harmful – or so you’d hope.
