As days progress during this pandemic it’s incredibly hard to judge whether our leaders and people around us are overreacting or underreacting or acting appropriately when it comes to the coronavirus. Today Scott Morrison has announced that Aussies at indoor venues must have four square metres per person allocated.

That means if a venue is 200 metres squared, the venue can only allow 50 people inside, and it will surely be another massive blow to the hospitality industry that is under immense pressure already. “What we are now moving to is an arrangement for gatherings of less than 100, is that there would be four square metres provided per person in an enclosed space, in a room,” the PM said. “If we do it more broadly, then we are slowing the rate and we are saving lives.”

The government also announced that banks will be offering a six-month loan repayment pause to small businesses which hopefully will help some of them stay open in these trying times… Watch the full press conference below:
