Inspiring…

Protests are no doubt continuing to increase in size and intensity, inspiring countless people across the world to rise up and protest the murder of Minneapolis man George Floyd. Countless celebrities and A-list stars are getting involved as well, using their platform and large influence to bring attention and support to the worthwhile cause.

They’re all doing the best they can, but John Boyega’s involvement is truly the stuff of legends. As Londoners gathered in the thousands to protest the killing of George Floyd, the Star Wars star took the megaphone to give a speech that is impossible not to be moved by, the monologue going through all the anger, devastation and hope that people have felt during the past week.

He even stated that he “may not have a career after this,” before continuing to call out the abhorrent murder of Floyd, Texan woman Sandra Bland, British teenager Stephen Lawrence, Mark Duggan and Florida teen Trayvon Martin.

“I need you guys to understand. I need you guys to understand. I need you to understand how painful this sh*t is. I need you to understand how painful it is. To be reminded every day that your race means nothing. And that isn’t the case anymore. There is never a case anymore. We are going to try it today. We are a physical representation of our support for George Floyd. We are a physical representation in our support for Sandra Bland. We are a physical representation on our support for Trayvon Martin. We are a physical representation of our support for Stephen Lawrence, for Mark Duggan”.

Even breaking down in tears several times, Boyega truly bared his soul to the crowd, and it’s moving to say the least. Check it out in full below.
