“Congratulations on being our worst Prime Minister ever”.
Hate for Australia’s commander-in-chief is at an all-time high as of late, the liberal party leader copping flack everywhere he goes. Last week’s instance of it saw him on the receiving end of a stadium-wide boo at Shane Warne’s funeral at the MCG, but this week, it’s a pub in Newcastle that took aim at the seemingly-disgraced Prime Minister.
Morrison was visiting Edgeworth Tavern up near Newy for a quiet beer and chat with voters when the first showdown occurred, with a fiery pensioner tying him down for a solid roasting. Video from the incident shows the man yelling at the PM whilst surrounded by reporters, screaming “Listen to me for a change. This is what you said when you got elected last time: ‘We’re going help all those people that worked all their lives, paid their taxes and those that have a go, get a go’.
“You can have a million dollar house, $250,000 in the bank and franking credits but a disability pensioner can’t have an income.”
He went on to take aim at the PM for a bunch of his other failures as well, mentioning his immigration policies and his broken promises regarding an integrity commission.

Although the pensioner was later escorted from the tavern, it seems he wasn’t the only one keen to give Morrison a piece of his mind, with another pubgoer deciding to also attack the PM’s record via a cheeky troll. Getting ready to pose with the PM for a selfie, the woman quickly starts recording and changes her plan of attack, saying “congratulations on being the worst Prime Minister we’ve ever had!”
It comes as Morrison gears up to call the election any day now, but judging by the non-stop criticism he’s received for his handling of the floods, COVID and the various allegations of racism and bullying levied against him as of late, it seems his tenure as Prime Minister is likely to be nearing its end.
